Hi there! I’m Jess …

A few things about me:

  • I am married to my best friend and high school sweetheart. He is my biggest supporter and my teammate in everything.

  • I am a mom to two girls. Big sis Ryan and little bit Avery complete our family.

  • I love living in Smyrna and the strong community I feel here. On weekends, you can find us at one of our favorite local Smyrna spots (Ruby’s pizza, the Market Village, Taylor Brawner Park) or venturing to Atlanta for a zoo, aquarium, or museum day.

  • I love to travel and am always scheming to go somewhere. One of the reasons we moved to Atlanta was the proximity to the mountains and a large airport to take us anywhere.

  • I have a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Art and a master’s degree in Art Therapy. Both from Florida State. (Go Noles!)

  • I actually have two businesses! Jess Vallor Photography and my private practice Create Change Counseling where I provide mental health therapy to children, teens, young adults, and moms.

  • My love of photography began early on with a simple digital camera and photoshoots with friends. Then, I took a photography course in college and became hooked on understanding the technical aspects of the camera, lighting, composition, all of it. I wanted to pursue it professionally, but didn’t know how to do that and continue my career as a therapist. After my first daughter was born in 2020, I felt the drive to pursue the photography dream more fully. I learned what I wanted was to be a part-time therapist, a part-time photographer, and a full-time business owner. I am so grateful to share this art form with others and help families capture all these momentous, but fleeting seasons!
