Atlanta Newborn Photographer | Smyrna Newborn Photography Session

I had the absolute joy of photographing this incredibly kind and loving family as they celebrated their sweet boy after a month long stay in the NICU.

From the moment I walked into their light-filled home, and felt their excitement and enthusiasm for capturing this moment, I knew this session was going to be special. We focused on two areas of their home that I most often shoot in: the nursery and master bedroom. Both had plenty of natural light coming through the windows.

Something you’ll notice looking at these photos is that their sweet baby boy was wide-eyed for most of our session. He seemed fascinated by the big camera in front of him and didn’t want to miss a single second of this new experience. I never mind when newborns are alert during lifestyle sessions since it allows us to capture those big eyes and curious expressions along with the sleepy, snuggly moments.

Cozy Moments in the Nursery

We started in his nursery, which was soft, calm, and perfectly styled in classic blue tones.

The crib setup gave a timeless look, and I loved incorporating meaningful details throughout the space. Nursery sessions are always a favorite of mine because they tell part of your family’s story. It is the room you thoughtfully prepared while waiting for your baby to arrive.

Snuggles in the Master Bedroom

After spending time in the nursery, we moved into the master bedroom for a softer, more intimate feel. Master bedroom newborn photos create such a cozy and connected atmosphere.
